I was wondering how long it would take me to lapse on the entries. I'm sad to say....not long at all. I got sucked into this book I'm reading "The Last Juror" by John Grisham. It's a good book if you like the legal suspense genre. Although I manage to stay away from things like Court TV and Law & Order, I somehow became a Grisham groupie.
Moving right along....
I played table tennis today for the first time in a long time. <"Isn't that ping-pong?" you say. Yeah yeah you may play ping-pong, but I'm too cool for that. lol> Back in the day, I used to play on the back of an old door that we had set up in the house. I thought that was really bootleg until I met someone who told me that in his country, people used to play on their breakfast tables. Now that's dedication.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch....
Church was pretty interesting today. It's amazing how I always dread going to church. It's only an hour long each week, but inevitably, when the time comes I never want to go. Then I get there and hear the lesson and feel "wow.....that was great. I feel refreshed. I'm glad I came." The irony of life. Today's lesson was about options and the fact that for many people, Christians included, God is often the last option. When there's a problem, we exhaust all possible means and when we can't find a man-made solution, then we turn to God like he's some kind of genie in a bottle. Guilty as charged.
